His initial jobs ranged from pumping gas and bagging groceries to more skilled labor like masonry and painting. He even took on roles in the hospitality sector, working his way up from busboy to waiter at the prestigious Hugo’s Lighthouse. His professional journey in logistics began in 1974 with Springmeier Shipping Company, where he quickly rose to the position of New England Regional Sales Manager.
